Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kpandai Constituency have firmly dismissed reports alleging that a party campaign meeting was disrupted by a bee attack, describing such claims as false and misleading.

Addressing the media on Monday, December 15, 2025, the Constituency Communication Officer, Gregory Anijadong, explained that while a tragic incident occurred on the same day, it was completely unrelated to the NDC meeting. According to him, the meeting proceeded peacefully and was not disrupted in any way.

Mr. Anijadong clarified that the deceased was not an NDC executive and had earlier attended a separate meeting convened by the overlord of Kpandai, Nana Atorsah Bristiam Okori II, where he represented his community chief. After that engagement, the individual reportedly came near the NDC meeting venue to wait for a motorbike rider who had earlier transported him.

The party commended the media for its interest in public affairs but urged journalists and commentators to verify facts thoroughly to avoid misinformation that could create unnecessary tension.

Demonstrating its commitment to transparency and accountability, the NDC has called on the Ghana Police Service to conduct a full investigation into the incident and make the findings public. The party also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, emphasizing its solidarity with them during this difficult time.
