Ghanaian entrepreneur and owner of the US-based online radio station Apple 68 FM, Kwaku Skirt, has publicly praised President John Dramani Mahama, attributing improved living conditions during the Christmas season to what he described as good governance under Mahama’s leadership.

Speaking during a live broadcast on his Facebook page, Apple FM, Kwaku Skirt contrasted the current situation with what he said were difficulties experienced under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to him, basic items such as chicken eggs and goats, which he said were difficult to afford in the past, are now readily available during the festive season. “Today there is a good government under President John Mahama and we are able to buy chicken eggs during this Christmas season, but years ago it was a different story under the Akufo-Addo government. Even buying a goat was a problem,” he stated.
Kwaku Skirt also referenced the ‘Nkoko Nkitinkiti’ poultry initiative introduced by John Mahama, noting that a programme previously mocked by political opponents has now become beneficial to many Ghanaians. He described the initiative as a “blessing this Christmas season.”
He further alleged that high cement prices during the Akufo-Addo administration were the result of excessive taxation, claiming that cement prices have since dropped significantly. “Under Akufo-Addo, cement was a problem because of many bad taxes, but today under John Mahama, cement prices are down and have reduced dramatically,” he said.
The Apple 68 FM boss concluded his remarks by expressing strong admiration for Mahama, pledging to continue praising his leadership. He also hinted at his support for Mahama serving an additional term in office, stating that he would “test the law” regarding the possibility.
